It's been a hot minute, hasn't it? I apologize for the long wait, but my life got so caught up with classes and work. I also did not want to rush through Kate Breslin's Far Side of the Sea. I wanted to make sure that I was able to enjoy it and be able to give a thorough and honest review of this book. Far Side of the Sea is a World War I romance novel about a soldier named Colin Mabry. Hello all! It's been a while, hasn't it? My life has been crazy busy due to my sister getting married this past weekend and getting ready for my sophomore year of college. Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to read. But now that everything is calming down, I do hope to have my first book review up by the end of next week, August 24th! The book will be Far Side of the Sea by Kate Breslin. It's a historical fiction novel that takes place during World War I. I am very excited to be reviewing this book for you! I will be doing a lot more reading, as I am now a blogger for Celebrate Lit. Celebrate Lit is an organization that focuses on publicizing books for authors to build their audience. I am very honored to be a part of this organization . Also, it gives me a chance to read more and explore different genres and authors, and may even help me to grow in my writing skills.  I am also working on a couple different projects and opportunities that I am so excited...

As you can tell by the blog, my name is Rebecca. I am a college student, working towards a Bachelor's in English. I absolutely love to read and write, both of which come from my aunt and my grandfather. These loves of my life have led me to want to pursue writing as a career. I am very excited! I'm not really surprised that this is where my life is taking me, since I have been writing for over ten years now. I have mostly written novels but I also love poetry. Reading Shakespeare is one of my favorite past-times, and I cannot tell you how many poems I have actually written! This blog, though, will mainly focus on book reviews, interviews with several different authors, and maybe even some book giveaways! I will also try to keep you updated on my writing career every once in a while. I am a busy girl-between school and working-but I will definitely try to put up a post twice a month.
